This Habitation got its name from the Comte de Dillon husband of Madame Laure Girardin Montgéralde and owner of the domain. Many owners who succeeded as Hervé Pierre modernization, Louis Domergue in 1891 and in 1900 his son Raoul.
This sugar mill had to comply with the policy of contingency in 1919 and eventually turned into rum distillery in 1928. Its real development started only until 1967 when the company Bordeaux Bardinet, took Dillon.
When visiting this distillery, enjoy the different phases of development of agricultural rum illustrated slideshows as well as its manufacturing equipment such as steam engine dating from 1922 still making the mills for grinding the cane.
